Accounts Section

The Accounts Section of this Directorate prepares and scrutinizes all types of bills pertaining to non-gazetted employees of the Directorate of Higher Education such as Salary bills, Arrears bills, T.A. bills, Medical Bills, LTC bills, Children Education Allowance claims, Honorarium bills and other bills received. It also prepares and scrutinizes all other bills such as FVC bills, AC bills, Contract Salary bills etc. Further, this Section undertakes the preparation of Budget, Re-appropriation, Supplementary Fund, Surrender of Funds and Allotment Orders to PWD to meet all the expenditure incurred by this Directorate and the seven Government Colleges. It also maintains and supervises all the different types of Bank Accounts maintained by this Directorate. The scrutinizing of income tax deduction and finalization of tax in respect of all non-gazetted employees of this Directorate and verification of income in respect of contract employees & Contractors under Section 194 of Income Tax Act is also being carried out by the Accounts Section.
