The IT section of this Directorate procures and maintains the IT Infrastructure of the Department in coordination with all the respective sections. It oversees the resolving/ troubleshooting of issues pertaining to Hardware, Software, LAN etc. It provides technical suppport wherever needed for DHE and also provides Technical guidance to the Colleges under the purview of DHE. This Section deals with the implementation of Hi-Speed Internet Connectivity in all the Government Colleges. Digital Laboaratories in Commerce, Economics and Language were established at Government Colleges through this Section. With a vision of having an e-Literate office, the Section aims at adopting a multipronged approach towards establishment, maintenance and promotion of IT services alongwith development of e-Skills and knowledge network with security as its base.
