Academic-III Section deals with Academic, Administrative and Service matters of the Government Colleges under the control of this Directorate. This includes

1. Appointment of Teaching faculties on Regular Basis recommended by the GPSC.

2. Appointment of Teaching Faculties on Contract and Lecture Basis.

3. Career Advancement matters pertaining to the teaching faculties of Government Colleges.

4. Maintenance of Roster relating to Teaching Faculties of Government Colleges.

5. Issue of necessary N.O.C.s in respect of Teaching faculties in Government Colleges.

6. Matters relating to purchases concerned with the Academics at Government Colleges.
