Goa has human capital of about 1500 teachers in various Government and aided degree colleges under Directorate of Higher Education and in Goa University. Their contribution towards the academic, curricular and extra-curricular assignments have been inspiring and tremendous. In order to scale-up this momentum, the Directorate proposed the scheme for State Teacher Awards for Excellence. This scheme will boost the quality enhancement efforts of this Directorate, empower it to attract the excellent talents into the teaching profession and to reward excellence.
