Interest Free Education Loan Scheme (IFEL)

The scheme envisages grant of ‘Interest free loan’ to younger population of Goa, to assist them in their pursuit of Higher and Technical Education in approved degree and diploma courses at undergraduate and post graduate levels, in India or abroad. Through this scheme eligible candidates are exempted from payment of interest charges, as long as the loanee adheres to repayment schedule strictly. Thus the main objective is to ensure that the economic conditions and financial difficulties do not come in the way of such pursuit.
